Hope the short emergency blink chilled him a bit. After half an hour of trying to get out of town, I finally let both turbines breathe. The announcement of mighty power dormant under the hood is not a vain boast! Push it to the limit and for a moment I felt like a passenger on a roller coaster, but with a double recharge. Brutal force pushed me so deeply into the support that I later checked for any bulging in the back. 560 Newton meters at just 1700 rpm and a 5-speed automatic shifting gears without jerks. This is the most powerful production car we have tested in "Top Speed". Even the VW Phateon W12 had a whole 10 Nm less. Many a city bus driver would like to have something like this at work! These are modern turbodiesels. Interestingly, in the ML it is difficult to catch the clatter that is traditional for diesel engines. The sound of the V8 is akin to an inline five-cylinder, but not so nasal, just deeper, more rumbling. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a soundtrack. I am not an avid audiophile, but the fact that the sound of the BOSE system did not come directly from the nine speakers, but surrounded me and filled the whole interior thoroughly, made an impression on me. "

Three open differentials (front, rear and center) transmit torque in a proportion of 48 percent. on the front and the remaining 52 percent. to the rear. So - to simplify - each wheel receives about 25 percent from the engine. torque. When one of the wheels hovers in the air or completely loses traction, all the moment flows to it through the mechanisms along the path of least resistance. So it tumbles helplessly, immobilizing the colossus. But only for a fraction of a second, because the 4ETS + system comes into play. A wheel spinning too fast is braked so that power is once again supplied to the other wheel on the same axle. In theory, even three wheels can lose traction, and 4ETS + will do the rest. In practice, a lot depends on the tires and driver skills and the type of terrain obstacle. You have to remember that although the M-classes took part in the Dakar Rally, they are not real SUVs. More important, however, is that the driver does not have to struggle with additional levers. In the worst case, it is enough to press the LOW RANGE button, which acts as a reducer and increases the torque more than two and a half times at the same RPM. Nothing but hit the gas and wait for the effects, which come unexpectedly quickly with the 400 CDI. Even regular Pirelli Scorpion winter tires bite into the soil with amazing efficiency. Plus, a lot of ground clearance, automatic gearbox and tons of torque! ”
The presented model comes from Polish distribution and was purchased in the Warsaw factory
Mercedes-Benz Polska showroom and had 2 owners and the last one had it since 2008.
The new Mercedes in this version in 2003 cost about PLN 350 thousand.
The offered ML400 has been serviced and is in perfect condition, has an original mileage of 202 thousand.
It has never been broken and has all the windows in the original.
